For you shotgun aficionados.  And the other side of the story…Guard’s Shotgun Fails Him Against Armed Robber.

There is a greater than expected chance that the security guard in the video above had an empty or broken shotgun.  Latin American security guards often carry either a pistol gripped shotgun or  a handgun.  It’s exceptionally rare to see a guard carrying both.  Just a guess…He probably knew the shotgun was just a visual deterrent and carried the handgun for real protection.

You would be shocked at the condition of many guard guns in Latin America.  Here is an interesting article I wrote a couple years ago after I had the chance to evaluate a Dominican security company’s weapon choices.  It was frightening.
